Thc Bantam A's played their first of 2 games of the day at home against the Barre Blades. CSB was able to jump out to an early lead with the first 2 goals scored by the line of Tommy Royer, Eric Craig and Nick Konstantonis. Followed up by a powerplay goal scored on a nice wrist shot by Wilson Yandell from a feed from Jeremy Lerner. The game was 3-0 in favor of CSB at the end of the 1st. CSB keep the foot on the gas in the 2nd period with another goal scored again on the powerplay by Tommy Royer from Bernie Thibeault. The next 2 goals were scored when the teams were playing 5 on 5 by Matt Leonard from Max Hopper and Wilson Yandell, and then by Tommy Royer from Nick Konstantonis. The 2nd period ended with one more goal scored on the powerplay by Dan Gluck, assist to Chris Bulla for a 7-0 CSB lead at the break. In the 3rd period Cole Zweber started the scoreing on the short hand with a nice breakaway goal. Cole scored again even strength to make it 9-0 with assist from Bernie Thibeault. Ethan Child got in on the action with a goal from a feed by Tommy Royer. Finishing up with goals by Griffin Brady from Nick Konstantonis and Max Hopper for a 12-0 victory. Zack Weimer was not tested much in the contest by was rewarded with his first shut out of the season with 13 (1-7-5) saves on the day.
Both teams were guilty of many penalties which lead to a lot of special teams play.
