This is the 2nd match up between these 2 teams and the scoring would start off early with Jeremy and Max on a 2 on 1 breakway, Jeremy slid the puck over to Max who hit the 5-hole for a nice start to the contest. With less than a minute remaining in the 1st period Essex would answer with the tieing goal. Essex would work hard and get rewarded with a goal scored with 10:07 remaining in the 2nd by rushing the net and putting back a rebound for a 2-1 lead, followed up by another goal with 8:43 on the clock for a 3-1 lead, and followed by another goal with 7:30 on the clock for a Essex 4-1 lead. This was 4 straight goals scored by Essex. CSB would respond by getting the next 4 goals themself started by Drew who socred unassisted with 6:41 remaining in the 2nd. Drew would answer again with 6:17 on clock with the assists from Matt and Ethan, Chris W would also score with 6:03 on clock from a feed by Nick which pass through the legs of Eric and Chris put home the puck for a 4-4 tie. CSB would go ahead with a goal scored by Jeremy assist from Max for a 5-4 lead. CSB would go to the box and Essex would make them pay for it with a PP goal to tie the game at 5-5. The 2nd period ended and both teams went in to the locker room and the fans would have to wait a few minutes for the fun to resume. The 3rd period opened up with a penalty called against Essex and CSB could break the tie with a PP goal scored by Chris W with another assist from Nick for the eventual game winner with 10:21 remaining in the contest. The Essex team would be called for another penalty and CSB would add to the score with a final goal scored gy Drew assist from Matt with 6:54 remaining on the clock for a 7-5 final. The newcomer to the team Drew wore the hat with help from his 2 linemates Ethan and Matt who played hard all game long. The teams left the building close to 11:00pm only to sleep and get ready for an early morning skate with Barre on Sunday.
