Brick Church Music Series
Concert #5 - February 20, 2009

An Evening of Contemporary Jazz

featuring

'Picture This', with Al Teodosio (opener)

and a very special cameo appearance by

the LaStrada Sisters

The Brick Church Music Series concert on February 20 featured the popular contemporary jazz quartet 'Picture This'. The quartet features Jerome Monachino (guitar/voice), Peter Engisch (keys), Matt DeLuca (drums), and Gary Matthews (ac.& el. bass). Al Teodosio, a remarkable young jazz guitarist who is a junior at St. Michaels College, opened the evening. Al Myers of WCS was the emcee.

The concert was a benefit performance for The Connecting Youth Mentoring Program and was hosted by CY Mentoring volunteers. There was also a special cameo performance by some ambassadors for the CY Mentoring program, the singing LaStrada Sisters. Michelle is in grade 8 and Mahoganie in grade 7; both are WCS students hailing from Swift House. Starr is a 6th grader at WCS from Voyager House. They were joined by sisters Annie (in 4th grade) and Arianna (in 2nd grade).

We were also fortunate to have Williston watercolor artist Nancy Stone show her work before the show, and during the intermission. Nancy brought several paintings done from sketches she made at the January Brick Church Concert featuring Pale Fire and Busted Brix.

The event was very generously supported by Langrock Sperry and Wool, the Chittenden Bank, and by Chris Lothrop and Music Services of Vermont. All of the Brick Church Music Series concerts are generously supported by the Williston Observer, AdAstra Recording Studios, and the Town of Williston.

To order, go to the photo you want, open it by double clicking, and hover your mouse cursor over the upper LH corner to get an ordering menu. The watermark you see on the photos online will not appear on prints.

Performers who would like access to the digital photos (e.g. for CD, press/promotional, or website art, etc.) may do so at no cost--please contact me about this. Likewise, the photos may be used on a courtesy basis for press coverage or promotion of the Brick Church Music Series; please contact me if you would like access for that purpose. In either case, all I ask is correct attribution ("David Yandell") for printed or published photos.
