These photos were taken March 20-21 at the Bantam A Regional Tournament, Essex Sports Center, Essex Junction, Vermont. Forgive me for not documenting the games very well, and for taking a few too many pictures of Wilson (his last Bantam game); there wasn't much that went right in Friday's game to take a picture of and I probably missed quite a few good shots Saturday because I was hollering at the refs when I should have been shooting. I will always regret that I did not get a good picture of Tommy when he got knocked into the opponent's box, or of Matt cross-checking the offending player in the head in retaliation. Photos from all 3 games are in this gallery.
Friday evening, the Hawks met the Maine-2 Gladiators and suffered a demoralizing 7-1 defeat. The Gladiators were undefeated in the National division where the Hawks were tiered and went on to the finals on Sunday.
On Saturday, the Hawks dropped their second, losing a close game 3-1 to the NH-1 Seacoast. Although the Hawks dominated much of the play and made few mistakes, they had trouble finding the string and had some bad luck with puck bounces and an empty net goal in the final minute.
Saturday afternoon, the Hawks bounced back to put down the CT-1 Wonderland Wizards 4-3 in a chippy game with some questionable officiating.
Families or players interested in prints should email me or leave a comment as to which ones you want, and I can upload a higher resolution version of those photos. THe ones in this gallery will be fine up to about 5"x7" but will not look great enlarged more than that.
